SOU's Recycling Center sorts more than 6,000 pounds of recycling each month, on average. Thanks to your efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle, SOU has:

What can be recycled at SOU?
SOU recycling is picked up from the Recycling Center by our local waste hauler, Recology Ashland Sanitary. For an updated list on what can be accepted in the recycling, visit Ashland Recology.
SOU works with our local hauler, Recology Ashland Sanitary, to recycle a variety of items, including:
- Clean paper
- Aluminum Cans
- Plastic Bottles
- Tin Cans
- Aluminum Foil

Reycle clean glass bottles and other containers on campus using one of the red recycling bins.
Recycle your rechargeable batteries on campus at one of 3 convenient locations:
- Hannon Library near the main entrance
- ECOS office in SU 105
Alkaline batteries are currently not accepted for recycling on campus.
Looking for a place to recycle your ink cartridges or toner?
Bring them to the ECOS office in SU 105.
Do you have school/office supplies that can be reused or recycled? Call 541-552-8139 or place a work order with FMP. We can provide a large recycling bin for you or transport your items to the Free Stuff Shelf where the SOU community can gather them for reuse!
