The faculty and staff in Psychology are here to help you learn and to help you pursue the study of psychology as you approach your personal and career goals. Faculty members specialize in the fields of clinical & counseling psychology; human services; human development, psychopharmacology, gerontology, cognitive, health, social and comparative psychology. Our full-time faculty all hold doctoral degrees from major U.S. universities, and they represent a broad range of specializations. Faculty members specialize in the fields of clinical & counseling psychology; human services; human development & gerontology; social, industrial/organizational, and health psychology; multicultural psychology; human sexuality; physiological-neurological psychology; learning & memory; and cognitive psychology.

The psychology degree is ideal for students who display an interest in and empathy towards others and students who display a scientific curiosity in the fundamental nature of human behavior and thought.
Degree Roadmap
Psychology students working toward a BA/BS degree will be instructed in a solid scientific and theoretical base while also learning to think critically, challenge accepted beliefs, and develop skills for their future. We believe it is our responsibility to provide the opportunities and tools necessary to integrate this knowledge and abilities into the students’ personal and professional identity, and to provide the student with a greater understanding of the diversity, interdependence, and interrelatedness of the world.
Capstone
The Capstone project is designed collaboratively by the student and the student’s advisor as either fieldwork or a research project and should integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, and outcomes of the collective experiences the student has undertaken in his/her university career. The project will be documented in a final portfolio or paper and submitted to the student’s advisor, and archived by the psychology program.
