Apply for SOU Scholarships
There are three important steps to take when applying for Scholarships at Southern Oregon University. Complete the SOU Admissions Application, fill out the FAFSA, then submit the Southern Oregon Scholarship Application (SOSA).

Apply for Admission
Upon admission, Oregon residents and residents of the 16 participating WUE states (plus American Samoa) will automatically be considered for Raider Scholar, Laurels, Churchill, Siskiyou or WUE. Complete your application by the February 1st priority application deadline to ensure consideration for these awards.
2.
Submit the FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is typically available October 1. Please visit https://sou.edu/financial-aid/apply-for-aid/ for more information on the 2025-2026 FAFSA. Many SOU scholarships require a FAFSA for scholarship consideration.

Submit Scholarship Application
Southern Oregon Scholarship Application by March 15th for current students, transfer students, and graduate students.
Through the SOSA you will be considered for additional merit and need-based scholarships, including the Diversity Scholarship (listed below).
