Southern Oregon University

We've got your back. As the student government of Southern Oregon University, ASSOU fights for issues that matter to students, whether that's on campus, in our community, or in the state of Oregon. As part of the Oregon Student Association, ASSOU is committed to making students’ lives better through social organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter registration. You can get involved as an intern or volunteer, or contact us with questions or comments.

Oregon Opportunity Movement Music Video

ASSOU and the SOU Media Movement made this music video about how Oregon’s divestment from public universities is the #1 reason for exploding tuition and student debt as well as financial problems for our school. To ensure opportunities for this generation and those yet to come, we need Oregon to reinvest in higher education.

You can help spark the change by watching the video and sharing it with your friends! Together, we'll show Oregon that higher education is a good investment.

The Student Fee

Each student pays a fee every term that funds clubs, the Stevenson Union, and many other non-academic programs and services. ASSOU's student fee committee is responsible for allocating funds.

Look for this logo around campus to see where your student fee money goes. Student-fee-funded groups can learn more about how to use the logo. Contact ASSOU to get involved in the student fee committee.
