Raider Orientation and Registration (ROAR)
ROAR is your opportunity to GET CONNECTED to the people, programs, and places at SOU; GET INFORMED about your transition to SOU; and GET REGISTERED for your first term's courses.
Congratulations on your admission to SOU!
We are excited that you have decided to join our inclusive campus community that is dedicated to student success, intellectual growth, and responsible global citizenship.
All admitted students who have submitted the enrollment deposit will receive an email invitation to sign up for ROAR based on the dates below. Sign up for a ROAR event is on a first come, first served basis and is free for students and guests.
First Year and Transfer Students (by appointment):
Summer Term Admits will need to contact the Academic Advising Office by calling 541-552-6213 after they have paid their enrollment deposit.
Invitation emails for ROAR will be sent out to all deposited students by April 4, 2016 and on an ongoing basis for students admitted and depositing after that date. If you have not received your invitation by April 4 or within 3 business days of paying your deposit, please contact us at email@example.com or call 541-552-7076.
All new students are expected to attend one ROAR event in order to register for fall term courses.
First Year Students (two day events):
First year student events are two day events. Check in begins at 10:00 am on day one and the program concludes by 1:00 pm on day two. Click here to view a tentative schedule of events.
Students must attend and participate in all components of the event in order to register at the end of day two. Family and guests are welcome to attend at no cost. We have developed a specific track of programming for family members and guests. Students are expected to stay overnight in the residence halls.
