Application to the MiM program involves four primary elements:

  1. Application for graduate admission at SOU
  2. Application for the Master in Management Program
  3. Personal evaluations from three individuals
  4. Current professional resume

The first three elements may be downloaded from this page or you may apply online if you prefer. Hard copies of these materials are available at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center in Medford or from the MiM program office in Ashland.

Official transcripts are required for admission to graduate study at SOU. You must submit a transcript from every college-level institution that has granted you credit. Transcripts should be sent directly from the school you attended to SOU Admissions, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, OR 97520. Faxed transcripts are not considered official for admission purposes.

The MiM program application solicits information about your prior college attendance and work experience. In addition, applicants are asked to provide a current professional resume and a 400-word personal statement detailing their qualifications and motivation for participating in this degree program.

In addition to applying for admission to SOU and the MiM program, you are also asked to submit reference forms from three individuals who are knowledgeable about your skills and potential. Consider requesting evaluations from people who know you in a variety of roles rather than obtaining them all from one organization, if possible. Completed references should be sent directly to the MiM program office by your evaluators.

Applications are reviewed only when every element has been received, including official transcripts, evaluation forms, and SOU application fee. For information on the status of your application, contact the MiM program office.

Deadline Information

The MiM program enrolls participants through a "rolling admission" process: qualified applicants may be admitted for any term. For administrative purposes, it is helpful if applications are submitted 30 days prior to the beginning of the next term, i.e., by September 1, December 1, March 1 or May 15. When time does not permit a qualified applicant to be officially admitted to SOU, it is possible to enroll in MiM coursework as a nonadmitted student with the approval of the instructor and program staff. The MiM program staff will instruct you to complete this application for nonadmitted student status if necessary.

For your convenience, it is possible to complete an application online for admission to graduate study at SOU and to the MiM program. It is recommended that you transmit your personal statement to us by fax or e-mail, as well as submit it online, in case it should be truncated by field size limitations.
