John Williams, Software Developer and Entrepreneuer
John Williams is a software developer, entrepreneur, and 3rd-generation Ashland resident. Mr. Williams graduated from UC Berkeley in 1988 and founded or co-founded more than half a dozen innovative software and biotech companies in the past 25 years, including Letters & Arts, based in Ashland, LetsGoLearn, an award-winning educational software company in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Presage Biosciences, a cancer research biotech company in Seattle. He stays busy hiking and mountain biking in his free time, and was elected to the Ashland School Board in 2011.

Rich Tracy, Senior Programmer Analyst: a software developer with three years of experience developing high-quality software solutions. His passions lie in solving problems in an elegant fashion and not necessarily coding the most fun solution. He focuses much of his learning on anticipating changing language trends and riding the leading edge of that change. His professional technical toolkit focuses primarily on the .NET stack (C#, WPF, WCF, MVC), while his personal toolkit has a different flavor (Lua, Linux admin, Python).
Joseph Hatcher, Senior Programmer Analyst: a senior software developer with 15 years of government contractor experience. He has recently moved to Southern Oregon to work in the private sector, collaborating with the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads IT Team and business divisions employing Agile methods to solve business and technical challenges. Joseph enjoys all aspects of programming from database to GUI.
Joey Mendoza, Senior Programmer Analyst: a software developer and Grants Pass native with over 11 years of professional software-development experience. With experience in both the public and private sectors, Joey’s career has focused on working closely with business users to design and develop value-centric software solutions. In addition, he spent several years as an independent contractor analyzing business needs and crafting technical solutions. Joey is also an avid gamer and amateur game developer.

David Lowe, Programmer
David Lowe has been programming for nearly 25 years...18 of them professionally. As a co-founder of both the Southern Oregon Geek Group and the Rogue Hack Lab, he's been influential in the budding local techie community. He works from home for San Francisco based startup, CicleCi. And, when he's done with work for the day, he writes more code for fun.
"Lots of modern programming teams use the practices of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment to help manage the inherent complexity of working on a team on a substantial piece of production software. In this talk, I'll describe these practices, their motivations, their histories, and, from the unique vantage point of helping create and run a CI/CD platform, how they're used in the real world."
