What is Holistic Education?

What is the main conference timeline (beginning and end)?
The conference will run all day Friday, Saturday and end around 1pm on Sunday. The HTLC Planning Committee currently has a detailed schedule of presentations available on the Conference Schedule page.
What airport is closest to the conference?
The closest airport is the Rogue Valley International - Medford Airport (MFR). It is located approximately twenty minutes north of the SOU campus. There are many transportation methods available that can be viewed on our Transportation page.
Can I earn academic credit for attending all sessions (Fri-Sun) at the conference?
Yes. You can earn (1) undergraduate or graduate course credit for attending all sessions, all 3 days of the conference. We are offering this option at a reduced rate ($55 for (1) undergraduate credit; $70 for (1) graduate credit). Use your MySOU account to find the course CRN and register. When you register, you will be prompted by the Banner system that an instructor course override is required; when this happens, send a brief email to the instructor for override clearance. Other scenarios to register for course credit:
•If you graduated from SOU, you are already in as a non-admitted Graduate and can just register.
•If you have graduated from another institution and/or have never attended SOU, you need to submit the non-admitted graduate application http://www.sou.edu/admissions/nonadmitted-returning.html, and once that is processed (~24 hrs), you can register.
•If you are a former undergraduate student who has not graduated, you should be able to register if it has been less than a year, and if it has been longer, you need to fill out the Returning Student Application https://docs.google.com/a/sou.edu/forms/d/1iBabOhlF5G9EEOi4kDsy-0jmNreNCVpfI9ozB879pr4/viewform?embedded=true ; you should be contacted fairly quickly about the next steps after submitting.
Note: you will also need to register for the full conference (2 1/2 days) at the student rate of $90. Just go to the website and follow menu to registration.
If I am coming by car, where is the best place to park?
If you have a car, parking on campus (in Lot 36 off Mountain Avenue) will be available free of charge. If you are using the on-campus accommodations, parking will also be free to you as a conference attendee, but you will need to let us know before you arrive as a special pass needs to be issued for that area. Note: Parking monitors will still enforce improper parking (e.g., taking up multiple spaces), disabled space parking, and reserved space parking.
Will it be possible to sell or display my book (or other related materials)?
We will not have a bookseller or person responsible for handling sales, but we will have a large table devoted to this in the lobby area. You are welcome to share and utilize it with others. Perhaps an envelope and the honor system would work for purchases?
