For years, Belltown Spine & Wellness has been committed to providing care and comfort to the community. Now, we want to help in a slightly different way: A $1000 scholarship for one promising student. There’s no overstating the importance of education. Perhaps what makes it so important is the exposure to challenging and unconventional ideas that come with it. Education gives people the chance to experiment and form their own conclusions about the world, and that’s something that’s particularly important to physicians involved in holistic medicine. Treatments like chiropractic, massage therapy and acupuncture are likely more respected now than they’ve ever been in the United States. However, the debate about the role of homeopathy in medicine continues. We’re eager to hear what the youth of the nation have to say about this important issue, and we want you to let us know how you feel in an essay.

Michigan law holds dog bite owners strictly liable for injuries that result after a dog bite, meaning that victims do not have to show that the owner of the dog was negligent in any way or was aware that dog was the type that may bite. This is unlike the law in many other United States jurisdictions, which follow a “one bite rule;” under this rule, dog owners are not liable for injuries that occur the first time a dog bites a person. The Poshified.com Scholarship
Amount: $500
The Poshified.com Scholarship was created to help empower women through education. As a girl, I loved science and dreamed of becoming a doctor. I chased my dreams and ended up at my ideal university. Ultimately, I chose instead to pursue a Master’s degree in preventive medicine, and after years in a corporate career, I eventually decided that having a career in direct sales was the right path for me because I could share my skills and experience with others. The takeaway here is this: I stepped into my own power, and I want to help other women do the same.

Women do AMAZING things every day, and we can truly do anything we put our minds to. You deserve to set and reach goals, explore your potential, and become exactly who you have the capacity to be. This is why I created this scholarship; to help inspire and encourage young women to pursue and achieve their educational and career goals.

Poshified.com will award one $500 scholarship per semester (spring/fall) to the student who writes the best response to the following questions: How have women in your life inspired and empowered you? How do you actively empower the women around you? Click here for more information: The Poshified.com Scholarship

It’s no secret that men outnumber women in the tech industry. Indeed, according to recent figures released by tech giants like Apple, Google, and Facebook, women make up around just 16% of the engineering workforce in the technology industry. At Toptal, we know that it makes zero difference what gender you are. We’re a 100% remote company, and we’ve never kept track of gender in our database. There have always been women in our network, and there always will be. However, study after study in the tech industry has shown that achieving greater gender diversity isn’t about ignoring diversity, it’s about actively welcoming it.
