Payment Options


Online

Use a checking/savings account, MasterCard, or VISA.

Students: use MySOU for electronic checking or savings payments and credit card payments.

  1. Log on and on the "Student SISWeb" tab
  2. Select  "Banner Self-Service" in the Banner Self-Service (SISWeb) Channel in the lower left
  3. Select "Student"
  4. Select "Student Account"
  5. Select "Credit Card Payment" or "Electronic Checking/Savings Payment."

Family and Friends: use the Family and Friends system for electronic checking or savings payments and credit card payments.

Caution: Your payment will be credited to the student account at Southern Oregon University in 1 to 3 business days. If a payment deadline is missed because of this delay, late fees may be assessed.


By Mail

Mail payments to SOU ESC, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, OR 97520. Payments by check or money order must be made out to SOU. Please do not send cash. Enclose the remittance copy of the bill to ensure proper credit and write the student ID number on the check or money order.


In Person

Pay in person with the Enrollment Services Center associates in Britt Hall, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm, and Friday, 10am to 5pm.

Electronic Checking/Savings Payments for Students

No fee, no charge: Use your checking account or savings account to make payments on your SOU student account. Through SISWeb you will be taken to a USBank®/Anexsys® site to complete the transaction.

Log on to SISWeb to make a payment: Log on to SISWeb and click (1) "Student & Financial Aid," (2) "Student Records," and (3) "Electronic Checking/Savings Payment." Remember, you can also make a credit card payment using SISWeb.

Options for your convenience: As the payor, you can make a single payment, or you can set up recurring payments. You can pay as a registered or unregistered user. If you decide to register, you can receive online confirmations, view payment history, manage account information, and set up recurring payments. To register, you must provide your (payor) name, phone number, and mailing address. Unregistered payors must provide—each time they pay—their name, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address.

Confirmation e-mail: Both registered and unregistered payors can provide an e-mail address and request an e-mail confirming payment. However, the confirmation e-mail does not display the name of the student account that will receive the payment. Be sure to print out the confirmation screen for your records before exiting the USBank®/Anexsys® site.

Recurring payments: Registered payors can set up recurring payments weekly, every two weeks, two times a month, each month, each quarter. You can edit/change your recurring payments at any time.

Friends and family members can use the family and friends system for electronic checking/savings payments and credit card payments. Because the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, prevents Southern Oregon University from discussing a student's account with anyone except the student (unless written consent is on file), you must make arrangements for friends or family to use this service. If you have questions regarding FERPA, contact Enrollment Services at 541-552-6600.


Payment Posting

Caution:

  1. There is a lag time of 1 to 3 business days from the time you make an online payment to the time that payment posts to your account at Southern Oregon University (see chart below). If a payment deadline is missed because of this delay, late fees may be assessed.
  2. In the event of insufficient funds, a fee of $29 will be charged to your account.
  3. We strongly urge you to print the U.S. Bank/Anexsys™ confirmation screen for your records, even if you have chosen to receive a confirmation e-mail. This screen is the ONLY record you will have of the name of the Southern Oregon University student account receiving this payment.

Viewing Electronic Payments

Do you have the confirmation number?
With a confirmation number, any payor can make a payment inquiry and view a payment.

Without a confirmation number, only registered payors can make a payment inquiry and view a payment. This is critical: When the screen prompts you to choose a payment type, click the Cancel button. You can then search for the payment.

Are you family, friend, or student?
Family and friends follow these steps:

  1. Click the family and friends link below.
  2. Enter the student's name and ID number.
  3. Click the Payment Inquiry button.
  4. Note: You will be taken to the USBank/Anexsys site.

View an electronic payment made by family or friends

Students are taken to MySOU first:

  1. Log into MySOU
  2. Click the "Student SISWeb" tab.
  3. Click "Student & Financial Aid."
  4. Click "Student Records."
  5. Click "View/Make Electronic Payment."
  6. Note: You will then be taken to the USBank/Nexsys site.
