SOU students must be at least Junior standing with a minimum GPA of 2.75. In addition to having completed the general education requirements, students must have completed 2 terms of Economics, 2 terms of Accounting, Business Statistics, and Business Computer Applications. SOU students must have either demonstrated competency in the German language or are willing to learn German.
Classes are taught in English. This program is ideal for juniors. Students typically complete two years at SOU, one full academic year (two semesters) at H. Participating in this program is also ideal for students earning the International Business Certificate, as you can fulfill some of the credit requirements needed.
SOU students stay in shared apartments in the student residence halls in Wernigerode. Basic furnishings are provided including a bed, cupboard, writing desk, internet connection, washing machine and kitchen equipment. The rental cost can be a maximum of 250€ per month. In addition, a deposit must be paid, ranging from 150-200€. This deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay, as long as you leave your room in proper condition. To view more information of accomodation offered and how to reserve it, visit Harz's website.
