The Community Preschool at SOU
The preschool is operated as a self-support program under the supervision of the School of Education. The staff consists of two Master teachers who supervise practicum, work study students and volunteers.
Maureen Honeycutt, Teacher
Maureen Honeycutt is currently earning her Master in Education in Early Childhood Development. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education in 1990. She worked as a head teacher at Duck's Nest Preschool in Berkeley, CA. from 1990-1997. She returned to Ashland to raise her family, and went back to teaching in 2003. She has 2 school-aged daughters, and volunteers weekly at their school.
