Jeanne Clery Disclosure

The Campus Public Safety (CPS) records all reports and a summary of this log is viewable at the CPS Office during normal business hours. Accurate statistics are in and of themselves a valuable crime prevention tool. The Department reconciles all cases with records maintained at the Ashland Police Department and makes every effort to produce annual reports that are accurate.

All crimes are reportable to the City of Ashland Police Department or the CPS Office. With the exception of vacation periods, all criminal incidents occurring on campus are reviewed weekly and jointly with officials from the city Police Department, the Housing Office, and the Office of Student Affairs. Personal knowledge about crimes on campus enables you to protect yourself from becoming a victim. Excerpts of criminal reports received at the Campus Public Safety Office are furnished to the campus' Siskiyou newspaper for weekly publication. Special alerts or bulletins are also printed in the campus newspaper whenever the need arises. The Siskiyou is circulated free of charge to all campus faculty, staff, and students.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires the publication of the included campus crime statistics. Campus incidents are recorded in an official log. During business hours, students, staff, and the public may view a summary of this log at the
Campus Public Safety Office. A summary of statistics is also included in the Campus Public Safety Office brochure, below.
