Make a Difference Day

Join us for SOU’s biggest, most impactful Make a Difference Day yet!

Saturday, October 27

Volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, transportation to community sites, and a t-shirt!

Please select your site of choice below to complete your registration: 

Ashland Parks & Recreation (***FULL***)

This group will focus on beautification of North Mountain Park and its Nature Center, specifically targeting invasive species management.

Medford Gospel Mission (***FULL***)

Volunteers at this site will work in both the MGM kitchen (they serve three community meals per day, 365 day per year!) and their free clothing store, the Outfit Outlet.

Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore (***FULL***)

This group will work at the ReStore, a second-hand home improvement store sponsored by Habitat for Humanity.  These tasks may include sorting through donations, stocking shelves, or breaking down old wooden furniture.

 Ashland Emergency Food Bank (***FULL***)

At AEFB, volunteers will help receive incoming donations, sort through and categorize donated food, organize shelves and refrigerators, and other general upkeep required to ensure the food bank continues to run smoothly.

Jackson County Fuel Committee (***FULL***)

 This group will join the JCFC volunteer-staff for a fun morning chopping wood at their site on Valley View Rd.  Firewood goes to families in need to heat their homes during the coldest months.
