by José Rivera
Center Square Theatre

Rivera's play is set in a fantastical, shattered world where streetwise guardian angels abandon humanity to wage war on a senile God. Marisol must find a way through a violent urban wasteland in her search for hope and redemption. Can humankind survive a celestial civil war? Rivera’s play received the Obie Award for Playwriting in 1993. Intended for mature audiences.
