Southern Oregon University

by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart

Kaufman and Hart’s Pulitzer-Prize winning play brings families of opposite lifestyles together, with sometimes explosive results. The Sycamore family enjoys its eccentricities and doesn’t understand why their daughter, Alice, is concerned that they might scare off her “normal” boyfriend, Tony. When the couple’s families meet over dinner, delightful answers emerge to the question “what is this life for?”
