Teach at OLLI at SOU

Our instructors report that teaching for OLLI at SOU is highly rewarding. Instructors greatly enjoy sharing their interests, skills, knowledge, and expertise with our community of learners. Formal teaching experience is not required; we provide coaching and support.

Volunteer instructors are the heart of the member experience. OLLI at SOU courses range from academic subjects to acquiring various skills to participating in physical activities. Ideas for courses can come from an instructor’s vocational/professional experience or from a passion they’ve developed over time. Learn more about teaching and submitting a course proposal.

  • Teach any time during our 10-week sessions in fall, winter, and spring.
  • Courses can be two to 10 sessions in length.
  • Coaching is offered; prior teaching experience is not required.
