The Health Education and Promotion Concentration provides a solid foundation for students to promote healthy behaviors and prevention of disease in individuals and society. This concentration is for students who plan to work in the public health promotion/education fields through local, state, and federal government agencies including schools, community organizations, insurance companies, health and wellness clinics, hospitals and/or the private sector. Students study environmental, and community health topics and learn how to use communication strategies and advocacy efforts to improve the health status of individuals, communities, states, and the nation.
