Beginning the Visa Application Process
Upon admission to SOU, all international students must submit the Financial Certification Statement and SEVIS Information Form. International students are required by law to show proof of finances to support at least the first year of study. Please download and complete the Financial Certification Statement and mail it to the Office of International Programs along with an official bank letter. SOU cannot issue a I-20 until you have completed this form. Without an I-20, you cannot apply for a student visa.
Mail this form and your documents to:
Office of International Programs
Southern Oregon University
1250 Siskiyou Boulevard
Ashland, OR 97520-5019
The SEVIS Information Form is used to ensure that your I-20 is submitted accurately. This form should be emailed to the Office of International Programs (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a copy of your passport.
