SOU Affordability Options
Scholarships
SOU has many merit-based and need-based scholarship opportunities. Depending upon residency status upon admission, you may be automatically considered for academic awards, or may access the Southern Oregon Scholarship Application (SOSA) for over 80 additional scholarship options.
Financial Aid
Financial Aid offerings may include scholarships, grants, loans, or work-study for admitted students. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required, and opens on October 1 of each year for the following academic year. Submit the FAFSA by March 15th for priority financial aid consideration.
WUE Tuition Rate
Residents of the fourteen participating Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) states automatically receive the WUE tuition rate upon admission to SOU – a savings of almost $13,000 per academic year! Visit our WUE page for more tuition saving details and a complete listing of participating states.
