CISR Project Guiding Principles

“Executive sponsorship is critical to the success of CISR. The President has empowered an Executive Steering Committee (ESC) to oversee and support both phases of implementation. The ESC governance structure will comprise VPFA and VPEMSA as leaders of phase one; then VPFA, VPAA / Provost and VPEMSA will lead phase two. The President, Cabinet and ESC support the following guiding principles.”

• We will be personally invested in the success of the project.
• We will use Workday base functionality whenever reasonable, relying on configuration over customization.
• We will be strategically focused on the future– tactical work must support our strategic vision and uphold SOU’s values and strategic initiatives.
• We will focus on the institutional value of the function being delivered over the form or the delivery.
• We will be open to change that will help us to create modern and sustainable approaches using widely accepted best practices.
• We will make thoughtful, deliberate and timely decisions.
• We will strive for excellence, not perfection.
• Communication will occur clearly and often and is the responsibility of all project team members.
