Parking
Parking times are regulated, and strictly enforced between 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday by the Medford parking patrol. The patrol records license plate numbers when checking to see how long you have been parked (rather than chalk mark on your car tires).
Half-Day or Longer Parking
There are multiple pay parking lots available within a few blocks of the HEC, but note! You must allow time to locate an available space, pay for a permit at the kiosk, and walk a few blocks to the HEC.
All-day parking for just a few dollars is available in the Middleford garage, in the lots between 8th & 10th on Central, in the lot off Riverside Avenue at 10th (behind the Library) and in the lot off Riverside between 8th and Main Streets. Purchase a “Pay & Display” permit from the kiosk in the parking lot or garage.
There are FREE three-hour parking spaces on the ground floor of the Evergreen parking garage (between Main & 8th on Evergreen St, two blocks from the HEC).
Free One-Hour Parking
If you are visiting the HEC very briefly, there is free one-hour parking available on adjacent streets. Parking enforcement currently ends at 6:00pm, so after 5:00pm one-hour parking spots becomes useful for those attending evening classes. Inexpensive hourly parking is available in the lot between 8th & 10th on Central, in the lot off Riverside Avenue at 10th (behind the Library) and in the lot off Riverside between 8th and Main Streets.
ADA parking
Persons with valid DMV handicap placards can park in any time limited parking space marked one-hour free parking or more, for as long as they want to park. You may not park in fifteen-minute spaces or loading zones as they are not part of this program and doing so may result in a citation. When parking in the pay machine facilities, you may park in a handicap space for free. However if you park in the spaces other than the handicap space, you must pay at the machine for parking.
Permit parking
There are reserved spaces for permit holders in the parking garages and some parking lots; be sure to read signs carefully to avoid getting a ticket. You can purchase a parking permit if you will be in downtown Medford regularly.
