Sustainable Tourism Training for Industry Professionals
Summary
The tourism sector is at a crossroads – while many tourism organizations are excited to become more sustainable, the pathway to that goal is still not clear to everyone.
The upcoming Sustainable Tourism Professional Training is designed for tourism and hospitality industry professionals in Oregon. It will provide foundations in sustainable and regenerative tourism and identify tangible pathways to sustainability.
Learn about the theory, practice, and future of sustainable tourism via interactive lectures and local and international case studies. Participants in the training will leave with a set of tools on how to begin/build, measure, and continuously advance sustainable tourism. Case studies from destinations and businesses worldwide will enrich knowledge and ideas for Oregon businesses and beyond.
This training is perfect for tourism, hospitality, food and beverage, and outdoor recreation professionals eager to embrace sustainability and drive positive change.
The training is developed at Southern Oregon University.
