Meet Tasi Rosalia Pereira
Native Pacific Island Honors Scholar 2024-2025
Greetings and Talofa! My name is Tasi Rosalia Pereira and I come from the villages of Leloaloa, Amerika Samoa, and Siumu, Upolu Samoa. I am a senior majoring in Political Science, minoring in Rhetoric and Reason, and part of the 2025 Honors College Cohort. I was able to travel through the Honors College to present at a conference, speak to officials in the state capitol, and even listen to presentations internationally! For example, I recently went on the Democracy Project to India this last summer and was given the opportunity to speak to officials, academics, and other college students about democracy. The Honors College pushes me to experience things outside of the classroom and encourages curiosity and an open mind. I strongly recommend the Honors College to anyone willing to become a lifelong learner.
