Native American Studies
Civic engagement, global diversity and social justice are just a few of the areas you will explore as a student in Native American Studies.
Students pursuing a Minor in Native American Studies will complete 24 credits. Introduction to Native American Studies, Tribal Critical Race Theory, and Orientation to Research in Native America make up the minor’s core courses.
Students pursuing a Minor in Native American Studies will complete 24 credits. Introduction to Native American Studies, Tribal Critical Race Theory, and Orientation to Research in Native America make up the minor’s core courses. Students may also explore a variety of topics including Queer Indigenous Studies, Native America in the Theater Arts, Intertribal Dance Traditions, and several course offerings in English, Sociology, Anthropology, History, and Psychology.
Many students are delighted to find that an NAS certificate or minor complements their major. Whether a student is getting a degree in Business, Environmental Science, or Education, an NAS degree can enhance a wide range of field specific studies and make a graduate more agile and competitive on the job market.
