MCC Valentine’s Week Presenting:
Native American Student Union, Latino Student Union, Black Student Union, Samoan Club, Hawai’i Club, and Asian Student Union
The first event to kick off the week was the Native American Student Union’s Frybread Sale! This event sold heart-shaped frybread and Indian tacos to fundraise and promote NASU’s upcoming Powwow! NASU’s Powwow is happening on April 13th and 14th so be sure to check that out!
The second event was the Latino Student Union’s Mucho Amor Sale! Selling Agua fresca with strawberries, strawberries with cream, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and tostilocos. This event will help fundraise for any future events that the LSU will put on so make sure to check out their socials (@lasuatsou) to see any events going on!
The third day (Valentine’s Day!) had two groups tabling in and around the Stevenson Union! Black Student Union put on a Sweet Facts about Black History in honor of Black History Month. Students left the event armed with knowledge and goodie bags filled with sweet treats! The Samoan Club also tabled to raise awareness for the club.
On the final day of Valentine’s Week, the Hawai’i Club and Asian Student Union tabled together! The Hawai’i Club did trivia with gift card prizes. They did it to raise awareness of the club before their big May Day event next term! Asian Student Union tabled for the May Day event that ASU and Hawai’i Club are putting on, on May 1st.
