University Board Secretary
Sabrina Prud’homme is the university board secretary for the Board of Trustees at Southern Oregon University (SOU), where she ensures compliance and serves as a strategic advisor and liaison. She is a member of the National Council of Board Professionals and has presented on board governance. Prud’homme is also part of SOU’s president’s cabinet, served on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Leadership Team in 2020 and 2021, and is currently on the President’s Committee for Equity and Diversity.
In addition to her work at SOU, Prud’homme currently serves as the inaugural board president of BASE (Black Alliance and Social Empowerment) Oregon and a member of its Race Equity Liaison Committee, working with local law enforcement on anti-bias efforts. Prud’homme also serves on the Oregon Community Foundation’s Southern Oregon Leadership Council and volunteers throughout the community with social services and education organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Cal State Los Angeles and completed her graduate coursework in communication studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a four-time recipient of SOU’s Service Excellence award, the 2023 recipient of the Jolie Johnson Award for Women’s Leadership from the Southern Oregon Women’s Leadership Conference, and she is an inaugural recipient of the Social Empowerment Award from BASE Oregon (2025).
