The faculty and staff in the Psychology department at Southern Oregon University are here to help you learn and pursue the study of psychology as you achieve your personal and career goals. Our full-time faculty each hold doctoral degrees from major U.S. universities and represent a broad range of specializations.
Major interest areas: Clinical and counseling psychology, learning, cognitive psychology, health psychology, developmental, social psychology, and physiological psychology.
Complete a field practicum with Jackson County Mental Health or Community Works. Earn an internship in a private residential treatment facility. Engage in original research with faculty and present it at local, regional, and national conferences.
These are among the many opportunities available to undergraduates in Psychology at SOU. As a psychology major, you will explore your area of interest while learning core scientific and theoretical principles of psychology.
