Social Justice Minor
This minor complements most majors offered at SOU and provides a powerful vehicle for developing the constructive critical perspective on which a liberal arts education is grounded.
Program Preparation
The social justice minor is comprised of SOAN courses and one International Studies course. Minors can select two electives from SOAN, EC, GSWS, ARTH and NAS. Taking introductory courses in these subjects would be beneficial in preparing for this minor.
Degree Roadmap
The Social Justice minor consists of five core courses (4 credits each) and two elective courses (4 credits each) for a total of 28 credits.
Degree Integration
Minors are required to complete 4 credits of practicum. Students should work closely with a social justice minor advisor as the practicum site needs to be approved before the minor student can proceed.
