Whether you’re majoring, minoring, or taking a world language class as part of your BA, there are many reasons to develop language fluency and cultural competence in our classes. The World Languages and Cultures Program at SOU exposes students to new cultures through language learning, equipping them with a vital skill set for personal and professional life.
The ability to speak a second language will make you marketable in a global environment and allow you to connect and communicate across cultures. World Language classes provide excellent options for students majoring in nearly any field, in particular: Business, Environmental Science, Communications, Education, History, Economics, Outdoor Adventure and Leadership, and Theatre Arts.
Languages Offered: American Sign Language, Spanish
