Disbursement of Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Work Programs
Upon completion of the Financial Aid Checklist, your eligibility to receive your financial aid should have been met. Financial aid disbursement (payment) begins each new term about 5 days prior to the first day of the term.
Aid is available during the scheduled fee payment period at the start of each term. Available financial aid is credited to your student account.
The Financial Aid Disbursement schedule for 2023 – 24 is as follows:
- Fall 2023 Disbursement is scheduled for September 20th, 2023. If you have questions concerning your account after September 27th call us at 541.552.6600 . Press 1 to speak to the Office of Financial Aid.
- Winter 2024 Disbursement is scheduled for January 3rd, 2024. If you have questions concerning your account after January 10th call us at 541.552.6600 . Press 1 to speak to the Office of Financial Aid.
- Spring 2024 Disbursement is scheduled for March 27th, 2024. If you have questions concerning your account after April 4th call us at 541.552.6600 . Press 1 to speak to the Office of Financial Aid.
- Summer 2024 Disbursement will be the first Wednesday that your classes begin. You can email our office at finaid@sou.edu or contact us at 541.552.6600. Please note, if you begin classes in the session that starts before Spring grades post your funding will not be posted until the following week.

Any excess funding of grants, scholarships, Subsidized, Unsubsidized and Parent PLUS Loans will be posted to your selected refund preference with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. Once tuition, fees, and housing charges (if applicable) have been paid in full, any remaining financial aid is disbursed by BankMobile Disbursements. It is your responsibility to arrange for payment of your fees with Raider Student Services if your financial aid is not available at the time of scheduled fee payment.

You must be enrolled for the required credit hours to receive your aid. Wait-listed and audit classes do not count as enrolled hours for financial aid. Verify your hours through inside.sou.edu .
You can access a current term account summary through inside.sou.edu , including account balance, minimum due, and past due are shown.
