SOU’s Democracy Project is going to South Africa this summer, June 17-July 4, 2026, where we will explore the strength and fragility of the post-apartheid democracy, get a taste of diverse cultures and histories, and reflect on our responsibilities as citizens as we return home and see our own democracy through new eyes.
