Join Us for Raider Ready!
All newly admitted students are expected to participate in Raider Ready programs.
Raider Ready programs will help you prepare, ensure your success, and connect you to campus resources. There are three parts to complete:
1. Online Orientation
Online Orientation is an easy-to-navigate program that provides students and families with essential information about academic planning, technology, resources, and community standards through the use of text, videos and quizzes. Complete this before your Virtual Registration Appointment.
2. Virtual Registration Appointment
This is the most essential part of Raider Ready Programs: a scheduled advising appointment. Students will meet with their Student Success Coordinator to review degree requirements, search for classes, and register for courses.
3. Campus Connection Events
You choose from a virtual or in-person experience! These events provide students and families an opportunity to connect with staff, faculty, and returning students. Participants will be able to tour campus and visit a variety of departments. These are half day events that are strongly advised to ensure your success! If you have any questions, please email studentorientation@sou.edu.

Summer 2022 students are also welcome to attend any of these dates.
- June 17, 2022 (in-person)
- July 8, 2022 (in-person)
