Become a Raider on the Spot!
SOU Admissions Here and Now
Students that would like an admissions decision within a matter of hours have the opportunity to apply on the spot! Our “Raider on the Spot” option is available exclusively during our Virtual Application Workshops, regularly scheduled campus tours, and at preview events.
Step 1: Apply Online Before Your Visit
Review the Freshman or Transfer admissions requirements, complete the online application and pay the $60 application fee* ahead of time if possible. If time allows, applications can be submitted before or after daily campus tours. An application workshop is included at each Preview Day.
Step 2: Submit Required and Supporting Documents In Person
Submit your required and supporting documents to admissions via email at admissions@sou.edu before your Virtual Information Session. Documents can be delivered in person during Preview Days and/or daily campus tours.
Freshmen: Unofficial high school transcripts can be used for an admission decision, official transcripts will be required at a later date.
Transfer: Unofficial college transcripts can be used for an admission decision, official transcripts will be required at a later date.
Step 3: Receive an Admissions Decision On The Spot
At the end of your tour or preview event, admissions staff will provide your admissions status and answer questions about next steps.
† Our campus tour schedule may change due to holidays, on-campus events, or campus closures. Friday tours may not be available on certain dates, such as Preview Day and Raider Social. However, we will still waive the application fee for students visiting campus on these days.
* Eligible students may waive the $60 application fee, contact us for details.
