Reporting All Educational Resources
As a recipient of financial aid, you are required to report all educational resources to Southern Oregon University.
Examples of assistance that must be reported include:
- Graduate Assistant tuition discount
- Outside Grants
- Outside Scholarships
- Employer tuition support
- SOU staff/staff family tuition rates
- Resident Assistant housing remission and stipend
Because the combination of these resources, your other financial aid typically cannot exceed the amount of your cost of attendance, otherwise your financial aid may be reduced (most often your loans but sometimes institutional funds if there is a large excess). You can report these to finaid@sou.edu .
Once you have reported your educational resources, you can send scholarship payments to Raider Student Services, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, OR 97520. Payments should be made out to SOU with the students name and ID number on the memo on the check or money order.
You may not be aware of certain resources until after the school year begins, but please note that you are required to report the names and amounts of all types of educational assistance as soon as you are aware of them.
