Important Dates for 2024 – 2025
Fall Term

• First-Year/ New to SOU Move-In Days – Thursday, September 19th & Friday, September 20th
  Returning Student Move-In Day: Sunday, September 22nd
• New Student Orientation/ Week of Welcome – Sunday, September 22nd – Saturday, September 28th
• Fall Term Begins – Wednesday, September 25th
• Thanksgiving Break – *Thursday, November 28th & Friday, November 29th
  • (Halls will remain open, limited dining available) – This is still in planning
• Halls Close for Winter Break – Friday, December 13th @ 4pm
  • (Students can leave items in their rooms)
• Winter Break – Saturday, December 14th – Sunday, January 5th

Winter Term

• Halls Open – Sunday, January 5th @ 9am
• Winter Term Begins – Monday, January 6th
• Spring Break – Saturday, March 24th – Sunday, March 30th
  • (Halls will remain open, limited dining available – meal plans will not be active)

Spring Term

• Spring Term Move-In – Sunday, March 30th
• Spring Term Begins – Monday, March 31st
• Halls Close – Friday, June 13th @ 4pm
  • (Items CANNOT be left in the rooms over the summer).
