Important Dates for 2025 – 2026
Fall Term
- First-Year/ New to SOU Move-In Days – Friday, September 19th
Returning Student Move-In Day: Sunday, September 21st - New Student Orientation/ Week of Welcome – Sunday, September 21st – Saturday, September 27th
- Fall Term Begins – Wednesday, September 24th
- Thanksgiving Break – *Thursday, November 27th & Friday, November 28th
- (Halls will remain open, limited dining available) – This is still in planning
- Halls Close for Winter Break – Friday, December 12th @ 4pm
- (Students can leave items in their rooms)
- Winter Break – Saturday, December 13th – Sunday, January 4th
Winter Term
- Halls Open – Sunday, January 4th @ 9am
- Winter Term Begins – Monday, January 5th
- Spring Break – Saturday, March 21st – Sunday, March 29th
- (Halls will remain open, limited dining available – meal plans will not be active)
Spring Term
- Spring Term Move-In – Sunday, March 29th
- Spring Term Begins – Monday, March 30th
- Halls Close – Friday, June 12th @ 4pm
- (Items CANNOT be left in the rooms over the summer).
