Certificate in Conducting
The Certificate in Conducting provides students with a focused curriculum in the art of conducting, preparing students to be effective conductors of small ensembles and community-based ensembles.
The Certificate in Conducting is designed to serve students interested in gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to enter into a profession of music ensemble leadership. Students with a desire to combine their prior musical knowledge with practical experiences both in and out of the classroom will find success in this program.
Every student in the Certificate in Conducting will explore subjects through their coursework that will introduce them to vital topics such as baton technique, rehearsal skills, score study, ensemble administration, applied musical instruction, ear training, and error detection.
