By completing Southern Oregon University’s 12-credit badge in Film Business & Management, students demonstrate their ability to develop screen properties, raise production funds, create shooting schedules and budgets, and create marketing plans and festival submission strategies for independently-produced films. The Film Business & Management badge provides a strong foundation for students interested in working in production offices or in project development for the entertainment industry.

Minimum C- grade in each class.
Develop skills in general production office administration, including effective note-taking, memo-writing, reminder-setting, documentation, and task organization and prioritization. (DCIN 340 & 342)
Plan, launch, and promote an effective crowdfunding campaign to finance a short film. (DCIN 340)
