Applied Statistics Minor
What can you do with a degree in mathematics? The question should be what can’t you do? There’s virtually no career unsuited for a math major trained in critical and abstract thinking!
An ideal student of this program has strong interests in mathematics and data analysis. Candidates are strongly encouraged to complete precalculus and introductory statistics before they choose this program.
Applied Statistics students will complete 21 credits of mathematics and statistical methods courses. Students will develop strong analytical skills of data analysis and programming skills.
Many students are delighted to find that an Math minor complements their major. Whether a student is getting a degree in Business, Environmental Science, or Education, an Math minor degree can enhance a wide range of field-specific studies and make a graduate more agile and competitive on the job market.
