Musical Theatre Minor
The Musical Theatre minor provides foundational skills in acting, singing, dance, song presentation, auditions, and performance for musical theatre.
The Musical Theatre Minor is designed for students from across campus who want to expand their musical theatre performance skills. Students from all majors are encouraged to apply.
After completing foundational courses in both music and theatre, the minor highlights musical theatre skills, including singing, auditioning, and dance. The program culminates in a collaborative musical theatre presentation. The Musical Theatre minor can be completed within two or more years. Required courses are offered an a rotating basis, biennially – each course is made available once every other year.
The Musical Theatre minor provides foundational skills in acting, singing, dance, song presentation, auditions, and performance for musical theatre. Such skills build confidence in a student’s ability to present publicly, work imaginatively, and create collaboratively in any discipline.
