Jackson/Josephine Pledge Program
We’re excited to offer this opportunity for Jackson/Josephine county high school graduates who are admitted to SOU.
Benefits of the program include:
- Graduation in 3 years instead of 4 by applying credit from college coursework taken in high school
- Individualized advising, coaching, mentoring, and support from a Jackson/Josephine Pledge advisor
- Reduced tuition to $127 per credit hour, saving up to $3,105 per academic year*
*Compared to standard Oregon resident rate of $196 per credit hour with an average course load of 15 credits per term for 3 terms – fall, winter and spring.
Accelerated Baccalaureate Program
The Accelerated Baccalaureate program for freshman students reduces the number of credits required for graduation by taking into account your high school work. With a reduction in the number of credits required to graduate, you will be able take normal course loads, have time to participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities, and still complete your college degree in just three years.
Bridge Program
Southern Oregon University’s Bridge Program is a first-year experience that helps promising students transition to college successfully by supporting their social, emotional, and academic strengths. The program is open to graduating Oregon high school students and welcomes underrepresented students.
American Samoa to SOU
American Samoa to SOU (ASTS) tuition rate can save students almost $13,000 per year, compared to the out-of-state rate. The ASTS rate is equivalent to 150% of the Oregon resident tuition rate. To qualify for ASTS, students from American Samoa must be admitted as an undergraduate freshman or transfer student.
The Honors College at SOU
Experience an intensive education that will challenge you to identify your true passions and prepare you for a job or graduate school. As part of the Honors College, you’ll participate in small classes taught by faculty who will actively engage you and push you to exceed your own expectations.
