GET INVOLVED
with Southern Oregon University Housing
University Housing employs over 40 student staff members to create community, assist our residents, and manage the day to day operations of housing. Positions range from Resident Assistants, Resident Managers, Office Assistants, Administrative Assistants, and Custodial & Hospitality Assistants. Check-out the positions, expectations, and responsibilities of these roles.
We, the Residence Hall Association, representing the residential community of Southern Oregon University, acknowledge uniqueness through learning and understanding by promoting tolerance, inclusivity, social justice, and unity among all students. Accepting the responsibility granted upon us by the Department of Housing to be the main policy approving body for the residence halls, we will place emphasis on the residents’ voice and opinions on issues and concerns. We encourage the development of leadership and self-responsibility, while striving to maintain an open and harmonious living environment.
The National Residence Hall Honorary is the only nationwide organization that exclusively recognizes leaders in the residence halls. It is also considered the recognition branch of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), Inc. The opportunity to have a chapter is a service of NACURH, Inc.
University Housing works to build community within the residence halls and Student Apartments & Family Housing. Staff will be hosting events to help create community throughout the our areas. Check-out more information about our events for our residents.
