Communication Studies
Where Passion Meets Action
Students who connect creativity and intellectual curiosity with practical interpersonal and organizational skills often find their learning home in the Communication Studies curriculum.
While completing a BA/BS with a Communication Studies concentration, students gain broad exposure to all of the social contexts in which people communicate, including interpersonal, rhetorical, small group, organizational and mass media.
In completing the Capstone project, students build a rich portfolio out of the work they have completed during their entire SOU experience, demonstrating how they have fulfilled the Communication Program’s degree requirements, and also setting them up for a successful launch to their career after graduation.
