Certificate in Theatre and Arts Management
The Certificate in Theatre and Arts Management is for students pursuing careers in stage management and other leadership roles in the arts.
The Certificate in Theatre and Arts Management is open to all degree-seeking students at SOU but is particularly suited for Theatre and Digital Cinema majors interested in management for the entertainment industry.
As a Theatre and Arts Management student, you’ll take courses in Stage Management, Directing, and Theatre Business Management. You’ll have many opportunities for on-your-feet-learning working on a wide variety of Theatre productions and student films. Choose from dozens of courses related to your specific area of interest. Classes in Theatre design and technology, Digital Cinema production, as well as Psychology, Communications, and Business are all available as electives. Successful students may serve as production stage managers on Theatre productions or manage other university sponsored events.
