SOU Account Payment Options
Southern Oregon University students will have an email sent to their SOU email account when an eBill is available for viewing. Students can access their account through InsideSOU for the most recent statement, or to view charges and payments. The university provided email account is the primary means of account communication. Students should periodically check their university email for account announcements.
*Please note: SOU does not generate paper account statements.
Online Payments
Use a checking/savings account fee-free to make a payment online!
Effective January 2, 2026, debit/credit card payments made online will be subject to a processing fee charged by the payment processing vendor. The domestic rate is 2.95% or $3.00 (whichever is greater) and the international rate is 4.25% or $3.00 (whichever is greater). Only transactions over $20 are subject to a $3.00 minimum.
Students:
Use InsideSOU for electronic checking or savings payments and credit card payments.
1. Select “Student and Registration Tools” link located in the Online Services menu.
2. Select the “Make a Payment” link.
3. Users may select credit card or electronic check at the checkout page.
Former Students or Students without an SOU account:
Use the Banner Self-Service (SISWeb) system for electronic checking or savings payments and credit card payments.
Faculty and Staff:
Select the “Make a Payment” link, directly below in item 2. You will be taken to your account in CashNet where you may make a payment.
Friends and Family:
Use the CashNet system for electronic checking or savings payments and credit card payments. Students must make arrangements for friends or family to use this service and set up access in CashNet before you can make payments to the student account.
Payments by Mail
You can also send a check to the Bursar’s Office:
Please be sure to include your student ID number on the check if you choose either check option.
- Churchill Hall Office 151

OR deliver it to a secure drop box located in either:

*Please note: If a physical or electronic check payment creates a credit balance on the account, that credit balance will not be released until the check is cleared by the originating bank.

Friends and Family
Friends and family members can use the CashNet system for electronic checking/savings payments and credit card payments. Because the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974, as amended, prevents Southern Oregon University from discussing a student’s account with anyone except the student (unless written consent is on file,) students must make arrangements for friends or family to use this service and set up access in CashNet before you can make payments to the student account. If you have questions regarding FERPA, contact Raider Student Services at 541.552.6600 .
For more information about SOU policies on payment schedules, late fees, withdrawal/fee refunds, appeals and tuition costs visit payment policies. All payments are made in U.S. dollars.
