Program Preparation
The Certificate in Nonprofit Management program equips students with the management skills necessary to obtain entry-level management positions within nonprofit organizations. The certificate program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate students. To be awarded this certificate, students must meet Certificate in Nonprofit Management program requirements and requirements for a BA or BS degree at SOU or the transfer equivalent.
Program Roadmap
The Certificate in Nonprofit Management program is open to all majors. The program requires the completion of 32 credits, consisting of six required core courses, a four-credit internship and four credits of an approved elective.
Degree Integration
The Certificate in Nonprofit Management complements any major and can help students match their passion with action. Students must complete 120 internship hours. The internship includes a combination of coursework and documented service work in a nonprofit agency. The Certificate in Nonprofit Management coordinator can help students find just the right internship through planning, preparation, and placement.
